My Hairy Situation Solved: Dove Conditioner Review

I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. On the love side, when it’s cooperating, it is full and healthy and I feel good about it. On the hate side, it’s thick and coarse and hard to deal with – my hairdresser won’t cut my hair into cute, long a-line bobs because she tells me I’ll look like a mushroom. That kind of hair.. Summer is especially tough on my hair – we’re outside a lot in the summer, and between sun damage and chlorine damage, I’m in rough shape come Fall.

So when Dove offered me the chance to try out one of their Advanced Conditioners, I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve used Dove hair products in the past and have always very happy with them, so I was looking forward to trying their new line of products especially for damaged hair. Dove’s Advanced Conditioners provide the nourishment necessary to repair dry and rough hair. These conditioners feature technology to repair and nourish hair.

I personally tried out Dove’s Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner, and I like it a lot. The problem with my thick hair is that it requires a thick conditioner to make it manageable, but most of the options I’ve tried leave my hair feeling weighed down and sometimes greasy. The Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner feels nice and thick going on, but when I’m drying my hair after the shower it doesn’t feel bogged down by conditioner.

One of the things that impressed me the most about the conditioner is that my hair air dries better than it has in the past – and let me tell you. With as hot as it was this summer in Colorado, a toddler who screams “No brushing mama’s hair, play diggers!” as soon as I turn on the hairdryer, and an infant who just wants to be held, the ability for my hair to air dry and not look like a hot mess is enough to send me back to the store to try out every one of Dove’s new conditioners.  Check out the sweepstakes below fo for a chance to win a $1,000 Spafinder gift certificate and a coupon for the new advanced Dove conditioners. 1. I got to try a different one of the Dove Conditioners, and I was ALSO surprised at how well my super thick and frizzy hair air dried. It totally made my day!

  2. Question: what is the question you’re prompting? It asks for that in the entry form? It wants the question you the blogger is asking… Am I missing something?

    • Hi Robin! Sorry for the confusion – this promotion has been a little bit confusing! Answer the question what your hairy situation is – for example…do you have thick hard to control hair? Super fine and wispy? Etc.
