We’re big on our Omega 3′s over here. I generally take them in capsule form, but when Mr. B does the grocery shopping he buys fish. We all know I’m not the most adept at the grocery store, we’re lucky if I get out of there without spending the entire monthly budget on chocolate chips, so when Mr. B goes shopping the weekly menu is a little more diverse.
We usually grill salmon with a little citrus and rosemary. But I wanted something different. Enter Baked Maple Salmon. Sweet. Tasty. Delicious. Doesn’t require Mr. B to be home because I have no clue how to start the grill. Win. Win. Win. Win.
You’ll need:
1 pound salmon
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 T soy sauce
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 t garlic salt
1/8 t ground black pepper
Mix your syrup, soy, garlic, garlic salt and black pepper together. Put the chunk of salmon on a piece of foil and pour your sauce on top. Fold the foil together and marinate in the refrigerator for up to 30 minutes. Then just toss your foil in a glass baking pan and cook at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, fold back the foil and broil on high for 5 minutes. Fan-freaking-tastic.
Looks delicious. I’ll happy you shared the recipe for us.
Sounds delish! Yeah, throw a hunk of parsley or some cherry tomotoes on that plate would ya? LOL.
Sorry, I am not all about food presentation for just us.
I have a recipe somewhat similar to this and it has become my kids favorite/only way to eat salmon!
I. Need. This.
Yum!
I too could spend our entire monthly food budget on chocolate chips. This explains why I haven’t been real grocery shopping in about 5 months. Soon I will have blissfully forgotten where everything is in the grocery store.
i have used this recipe before! i found it at our grocery store’s seafood counter. it works well on the grill too, especially if you let the salmon soak in the maple for a bit!
It’s so funny that you make fun of your plating abilities in that photo because I was totally just sitting there looking at it thinking how absolutely delicious it looks. Of course I haven’t had breakfast yet…
Yum. I definitely have to try this!! Thanks for sharing the recipe… and that pic makes me hungry!!
Thanks for sharing. Maybe this will be the recipe that changes my husband’s mind about eating fish! Hopefully!!!
mmm it has maple syrup, salmon, AND garlic? I am sold!
I’m making this tonight! I may try it on the grill.
This looks so good. We never eat fish because Ryan doesn’t like it. But, I think maybe he should learn to eat some fish for his wife. You know, compromise.
We are always looking for new salmon recipes…this one is going on the list! Sounds delicious!
